Mr. West received his juris doctorate from the University of the District of Columbia’s David A. Clark Law School (UDC-DCSL), where he was a Dean’s Fellow and an Equal Justice Works Fellow. He also completed the Oxford University International Human Rights Law Programme and is currently pursuing a master of laws in international law at George Washington University Law School. While at UDC-DCSL, he served as treasurer of the Student Bar Association and was a member of the Jean Camper Cahn chapter of Phi Alpha Delta. He continues to be an active member of the UDC-DSCL alumni community. At GW, Jason was a founding member of GW Truth and Human Rights in North Korea (GW THiNK) and served as president for multiple years. He received his bachelor of science in social sciences from Illinois State University.

Mr. West also served as a student lawyer for UDC-DCSL’s Housing and Consumer Law Clinic and the HIV/AIDS Legal Clinic where he performed a combined 1000-plus hours of legal services. He also interned with the DC Office of the Attorney General, providing over 500 hours of legal service. Mr. West is a member of the Illinois Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.

With a strong background in human rights and refugee advocacy, Jason is a valuable addition to our practice. Mr. West will be handling all aspects of immigration cases over time.
